There are also a lot of International food restaurants around the area! There are students who cook in the dormitory too! - The school is open until 5.30 PM on school days. You may freely use the PC and self-study room and of course, the teachers will be around therefore, ask if there is something you don’t know.

- Are there any daily test?
- Yes! We will test you on the things that were taught on the previous day.
- Are there any conversational lessons?
- There is about 1 to 2 hours of converstional practice in a week.
As listening and speaking is very important and the beginning, there is also a test on it. - Sounds interesting but it sounds a bit dreadful.
- Hmm.. You may say so but if you have the motivation, the teachers are willing to explain more even after the lesson if there is anything that you don’t understand.
- What happens after completing the beginners level studies?
- You’ll complete your beginners level studies in around 6 months. After that, you’ll be learning the techniques on how to use them.
- What’s the difference between the beginners and intermediate level?
- Intermediate level is whereby you are able to not only phrase your sentences correctly, but also to express what you want to say. In addition, you’ll learn and increase the various ways of expressing yourself through words and sentences, and also to use the language like a Japanese.
- I want to know more about Japanese’s culture and habits. I would like to have Japanese friends too.
- Blending into the society and learning about the culture plays an important role in order to speak fluently like a Japanese. Living in Japan gives you the opportunity to do so, and not to mention, the chance to make new Japanese friends too. All these are achievable but living and studying here in Japan.
- Are there any scholarship program?
- Yes, there is.(※Student support)
- Are there any preparation lessons for EJU?
- We don’t have any preparation lessons for EJU, but we may organize a special lesson (free) if necessary.
- How much is the monthly living expenses?
- Room rental varies depending on the area and method of living, but an average single room type is approximately 60,000 yen to 80,000 yen and above. Other expenses (food, transportation, utility bills etc) are around 60,000 yen.
By the way, if you make use of the school dormitory, the rental is about 45,000 yen to 63,000 yen inclusive of utility bills and the internet.(※Student dormitory) - Can I work part-time?
- If you receive the “Permit to engage in activites other than those allowed under the visa”, you are then allowed to work part-time up to 28 hours per week. In addition, you are allowed to work 40 hours per week during the long school breaks.
- How much is the hourly wages for working part-time?
- Hourly wages varies depending on your job scope and type of job, but the average hourly wages in Tokyo is around 1,000 yen.
- How does the school correspond with people who speaks a different language?
- We have staffs that are able to speak other languages.

- What happens after completing the beginners level studies?
- You’ll complete your beginners level studies in around 9 months. After that, you’ll learn and practice JLPT N3 and above related grammar, vocabulary, reading, listening skills, conversational skills and other various activites.

- I heard that we will have to use computers during our lessons, how does that work?
- We will lend each student a notebook. The notebook is used for pronunciation practices, presentations and to watch the news in which are the various ways to learn.
- Can we practice our conversational skills?
- Yes, of course. Our beginners and pre-intermediate level classes are conversational based lessons; therefore your speaking ability will naturally increase. We do have regular speaking tests in order to improve your ability.
- I’m worried about study abilities.
- Don’t worry. Individual discussions are held twice every three months, and you may discuss about methods to study, your weak points and how to overcome them. Supplementary classes may also be held. But the most important is to study daily.
- Is there any chance to interact with local Japanese?
- Yes, we have a “Guest Conversational Lesson” where we invite guests for student to have the experience to interact with local Japanese.

- It snows a lot during winter, will everything be all right?
- The city plows ice off roads in their cities and Sapporo has built underpasses to make winter life more comfortable.
- How many schools are there in Hokkaido?
- There are about 37 Universities, 17 Junior Colleges and 154 Vocational Schools. You should be able to find the right school to further your studies.
- What kind of part-time jobs are there?
- As Sapporo is a well established city, you will be able to get jobs from convenience stores, restaurants may it be in the kicthen or the hall, hotel housekeeping and many more.
- Will I be able to make friends with Japanese?
- As our school is partnered with another school, you will have the chance to meet, converse and have lunch with the Japanese students there, which makes it easier to make friends with the local Japanese.
